Sherman has two programs that offer residents opportunities to make a difference in their energy use and impact on the environment. One is the Sherman Green Community Pledge, which enumerates practical ways people can make a difference in everyday choices. Second, as Sherman residents participate in the Connecticut Clean Energy Communities Program, the town is actually rewarded for the purchase and support of clean renewable energy.
